  2. Painting Loosely in Watercolor - Session 1

    Session 1 - Beginner/Intermediate Designed for beginner and early-intermediate level painters who'd like to refresh their skills, students will follow along with Keiko as she demonstrates her painting process from start to finish. This session will focus on fundamental techniques and concepts such as color mixing, value, composition, and use of edges. With guided instruction and one-on-one critique from Keiko, students will gain the insight to create a watercolor painting that is simple, yet strong.

  3. Painting Loosely in Watercolor - Session 2

    Session 2 - Intermediate/Advanced For those more experienced painters who would like to push their skills to the next level, this session will strengthen watercolor fundamentals while focusing on composition, design, and intuitive painting techniques. Students will follow along with Keiko as she demonstrates her looser approach to painting representational subject matter. This course will be the key to developing a style that will produce emotive, simple, and well-designed watercolor paintings.

  4. Keiko Tanabe Watercolor Demonstration

    Join us in seeing five nationally-known watercolor masters discuss their work and careers. Watch as they paint live, ask them questions, and learn more about their techniques and styles in a lecture format with a digital presentation. No supplies needed, just bring a notebook and camera to enjoy a day of learning and observation with fellow watercolor enthusiasts.
